About the SCPGA Foundation: The Southern California PGA Foundation’s mission is to provide all those who might benefit, especially youth from all communities, with opportunities to acquire sustainable life skills and values obtained through the game of golf. The Southern California PGA Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization and operates as a public foundation. The Foundation is involved in and supports the growth of the game of golf through initiatives such as ClubsForeYouth®, Neighborhood Golf, PGA Junior League Golf, SCPGA/TGA Golf Enrichment, Drive, Chip & Putt, Special Olympics, SCGA Junior, CIF, PGA HOPE and California Alliance for Golf, to name a few.

● Five (5) scholarships of $10,000.00 payable to the chosen college or university.
● Awarded by the Southern California PGA Foundation Board of Directors & Scholarship Committee
● Recipient determined by the SCPGA Scholarship Selection Committee.

CRITERIA: (1) Recipient must graduate high school by September 1, 2022, and enroll in an accredited two or four-year college or university, while requiring financial aid to do so; (2) MUST have outstanding personal character and leadership qualities. (3) Preference given to Southern California Residents & SCPGA Junior Tour. Members; (4) Must submit resume, highlighting experience and accomplishments in the game of golf.

TravisMathew Scholarship

• Two (2) scholarships of $2,500.00 each payable to the chosen college or university.
• Awarded by the Southern California PGA Foundation Board of Directors & Scholarship Committee.
• Recipient determined by the SCPGA Scholarship Selection Committee.

CRITERIA:

• Recipients must graduate high school by September 1, 2022, and enroll in an accredited two or four-year college or university while requiring financial aid to do so
• MUST have an outstanding personal character and leadership qualities.
• Preference is given to Southern California Residents & SCPGA Junior Tour. Members.
• Must submit a resume highlighting experience and accomplishments in the game of golf.

The Give Scholar | This scholarship will be awarded to the individual who best exemplifies the all-around character, dedication & commitment of The Give Pro-Am

● Five (5) scholarships of $10,000.00 payable to the chosen college or university
● Awarded by the SCPGA Foundation on behalf of the The Give Pro-Am and The Give Board of Directors
● Recipient determined by the SCPGA Scholarship Selection Committee and The Give’s Board of Directors

CRITERIA: (1) Recipient must graduate high school by September 1, 2020 and enroll in an accredited two or four-year college or university; (2) MUST have outstanding personal character and leadership qualities; (3) Preference given to residents of Southern California; (4) Active participation in golf is preferred (SCPGA Junior Tour, AJGA, SCGA Junior, High School Golf, etc.); (5) Must have an academic GPA of 3.0 or higher; (6) Must submit resume, reference letters highlighting life experience, community service involvement, academic achievement, and accomplishments in the game of golf.

About the Friends of Golf: Friends Of Golf (FOG) supports scholastic golfers with resources, equipment and programs so that they can compete and excel in a sport that promotes character, integrity and fellowship. What started out as a one-day local golf tournament, organized to raise money and equipment for boys and girls in southern California who lacked the resources to participate competitively, has turned into a nationwide fundraising juggernaut focused on bringing golf to all youth throughout the United States.

● Four (4) scholarships of $2,500.00 payable to the chosen college or university.
● Awarded by the SCPGA Foundation on behalf of the Friends of Golf (FOG) Board of Directors.
● Recipient determined by the SCPGA Scholarship Selection Committee and the Friends of Golf Chairman and CEO.

CRITERIA: (1) Recipient must graduate high school by September 1, 2022, and enroll in an accredited two or four-year college or university, while requiring financial aid to do so; (2) MUST have outstanding personal character and leadership qualities. (3) Preference given to Southern California Residents. (4) Active participation in golf is not mandatory, but preferred. (5) MUST provide one-page description of how you have and will continue to be a “Friend of Golf.” (6) Must submit resume, highlighting experience and accomplishments in the game of golf.

About the Bob McCurry: McCurry’s successful careers at Chrysler and Toyota spanned five distinct decades of the American and international automobile industries. Within the industry, he was regarded as an innovative leader, who stayed ahead of the competition by understanding consumer preferences and building strong personal relationships with his dealers. The McCurry Memorial Fund was established in 2007 to award college scholarship funds to exemplary student-athletes throughout Southern California.

● Four (4) scholarships of $1,300.00 each payable to the chosen college or university.
● Awarded by the SCPGA Foundation on behalf of the McCurry Family.
● Recipient determined by SCPGA Scholarship Selection Committee.

CRITERIA: (1) Recipients must graduate high school by September 1, 2022, and enroll in an accredited two or four-year college or university, while requiring financial aid to do so; (2) Must have outstanding personal character and leadership ability. (3) Participation in golf mandatory. (4) Must submit resume, highlighting experience and accomplishments in the game of golf.
