Community, Accessibility & Advocacy

More than a pillar, community and accessibility is the SCPGA Foundation’s guiding principle, whether, providing equipment, competitive playing opportunities, or working with our Southern California Golf community partners to expand access for players from all backgrounds.

SCPGA Public Affairs Manager

Matt Rogers left the United States Marine Corps in 2017 after eight years of faithful, honorable service. During this time he served multiple roles, most notably as a Marine Security Guard working with the Department of State; protecting classified materials and very important persons. After his active duty service, Matt followed his love for sport by working in golf operations for the PGA Tour all while pursuing higher education culminating in a graduate degree from the University of Southern California. Matt returned to public service by working for his local congressional district office tracking legislation for military veterans, representing the office at local events, and opening casework for constituents. Realizing golf being his true passion, Matt returned to the industry by working in public affairs with the California Alliance for Golf and ultimately with the Southern California PGA as their PGA WORKS Fellow.
